Ernie Holomany, Jr. and his father built this one-off mite car at their home in Danbury, CT.  The car features a hand-carved wood body mounted on a magnesium plate which serves as a pan.  The car is powered by a modified Arden .099 engine which has been converted to rear intake.  Virtually all of the components on the car, including the front wheels and tires and the bevel-gear drive unit were home-built.  The car was one of the first to use a pan handle in lieu of a wire bridle.  The car raced with the Hat City Gas Model Club at their tether track in the outdoor dance pavilion at the Lakeview Inn in Danbury.  This small mite car track used a 13 foot 1 1/2 long cable.
